One Health Institute, Director Search, 2024
The University of Guelph invites applications from tenured University of Guelph faculty for the position of Director, One Health Institute. The Director position is a service role with a distribution of effort for the role to be negotiated.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent degree in a discipline of relevance to one health. They will have a strong record of independent research and/or teaching with relevance to one health. In addition, the ideal candidate will have leadership experience within the curricular and research environments in an academic setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal, mentorship and communication skills. Evidence of the following will be considered assets in a candidate: ability to lead multidisciplinary teams; diverse stakeholder engagement; community-engaged scholarship with Indigenous communities; and effective advocacy and partnership building.
The Director will serve a five-year term (renewable once for an additional five years following review and a determination of satisfactory performance).
